People often say that times have become terrible and the world has changed for the worse. But in reality, neither time nor the world has gone bad; it is the people who have changed. Their thinking has deteriorated; desires and greed have taken over. Selfishness has increased, and it’s becoming harder to distinguish between what is genuine and what is fake. When people’s character declines, it is their actions that give the impression that the times and the world have worsened. In truth, it is not the era that is to blame, it is the mindset of the people living in it.
